Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. What this covers

These terms govern your use of Cubbylist (cubbylist.ca), a daycare search tool for British Columbia parents. By creating an account or purchasing a pass, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Cubbylist. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — please don't share accounts. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Payment and refunds

Cubbylist costs $20 CAD for a 30-day pass. There is no auto-renewal — you only pay when you choose to. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Because the pass grants immediate access to the full product, we generally do not offer refunds. If something goes wrong on our end that prevents you from using the service, reach out and we will make it right.

4. How you can use Cubbylist

Cubbylist is for personal, non-commercial use — specifically, to help you research and track daycare options for your family. You agree not to:

  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute our data
  • Resell access or share your account
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Our content and yours

Cubbylist's design, code, and original content belong to us. Data you enter (notes, contacts, lists) belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.

Daycare facility data is sourced from publicly available BC government records. Google ratings are fetched via the Google Places API and belong to Google.

6. Data accuracy

We import daycare data from public BC government sources and supplement it with Google ratings. While we make reasonable efforts to keep this data current, we cannot guarantee its accuracy. Always verify important details (licensing, availability, pricing) directly with the daycare.

7. Limitation of liability

Cubbylist is a research and tracking tool. We do not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any daycare facility. Your choice of childcare is your own decision and responsibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cubbylist's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your most recent pass ($20 CAD).

8. Service availability

We aim to keep Cubbylist available and reliable, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may update, modify, or temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance or improvements.

9. Termination

You can stop using Cubbylist at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. If you request account deletion, we retain your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete it.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
